Why did Abby leave Seattle’s KOMO-TV?
Abby Acone joined the KOMO weather team back in 2018. She came to Seattle from KRDO in Colorado Springs. After a good run there, it hasn’t been clear why Acone made the move to the Seattle Fox affiliate.
I do think it is safe to say that the Sinclair group in Seattle has been struggling to keep people on, especially on their sales staff. Sinclair was also caught up in some shady news stories where they were pushing their local affiliates to run certain stories that were aligned with their political beliefs.
It also appears that the new News Director at KCPQ is doing some serious refreshing of the on-air news staff there, especially since the departure of MJ and Travis.
