After a stunt simulcasting KISS on its former competitor’s frequency, iHeart officially flipped 93.3 to air its Sports Format also broadcasting on KJR-AM. The switch comes to an already challenged industry that continues to lose the youngest segments of listeners.

The real question is what will happen to the call letters. With many markets facing the challenge of having those call letters already on the AM, management will have to come up with a solution. It’s possible that KJR-FM may end up getting new call letters so they can move those over to 93.3 FM.
